Christmas Star Surprise

We started by learning about Rene DesCartes, his early life and contributions, and the method of graphing he invented!

Then I dictated a series of points for my students to write and graphed, (out of order, of course!) and they connected the dots to make a shape. They were so excited that they had drawn trees!

Little did they know what we actually had planned….

We traced the shape onto a stack of brown paper bags that had been glued together.

And created Christmas Stars!
